How To Assign Students

This tutorial outlines the process for enrolling students in a course.

 

Step 1

From the main course view, click on the blue, EDIT COURSE button on the upper, right-hand side of the page.

   

Step 2

From the COURSE OVERVIEW page, advance by clicking on the ASSIGN STUDENTS tab from the top navigation or continue through by clicking on the blue call-to-action buttons on the top, right-hand side of the page.  

   

Step 3

From the ASSIGN STUDENTS page, select the appropriate INDIVIDUALS and/or GROUPS to be assigned to the course.  Selections will appear in the SELECTED area of the page.  Once completed, click on the blue DUE DATE button on the top, right-hand side of the page.

    

When GROUPS are selected, a pop-up will appear, which will give the admin the option to auto enroll future users in the group to the course being assigned.

 

Step 4

From the DUE DATE page, the option to set a due date and time will appear.  Setting a GLOBAL DUE DATE assigns a due date to all individual students.  Different due dates can be set for Groups by toggling the drop down, located next to each Group.  Click on the SAVE CHANGES button on the top, right-hand side of the page to continue. 

 

Step 5

From the main course view, the TOTAL ENROLLED amount will reflect the number of individual students assigned to the course.

 

Selecting the MANAGE STUDENTS tab will display the individual students assigned to the course.  When a student is selected, a student progress pop-up will appear.
